Can you believe we’re at the end of May already?
We’re heading into the bank holiday here in Ireland and whilst the forecast is giving grey and soggy.. You have to admit, May has been so good.
The sunshine, the blue skies, the longer evenings!
It reminded me how lucky we are to work from home and build a business that lets us lean into the good days. Did you get to enjoy it?
Sit out with your laptop for a bit? Start late or sneak off early?
I hope you did 🙌
I also got to share some big personal news this month! More on that in a sec…

When A Client Questions Your Pricing
You send over your portfolio/proposal/pricing. You feel good about it.
Then comes the comment… “Your rate is a bit high.” And suddenly, you’re questioning everything!!
Pricing objections can mess with your head! But most of the time, it’s not about your rate being wrong. It’s about a client not fully understanding the value or just not being the right fit.
What helps?
Having responses ready that feel like you. Not pushy. Not defensive. Just confident and calm.
Something that reminds the client (and you!) of the value you bring.
I shared a post this month with some really practical responses for exactly that moment. It’s been one of my most saved posts recently, so if you ever feel caught off guard when someone questions your rate, it’s definitely worth a look.
Reminders From A Newbie
Most of the 1:1 calls I take are with Online Service Providers who’ve been in business a while.. Figuring out how to grow, shift or sort through what’s next.
But one of my calls this month was with someone completely new to the industry. Like, brand new!
And it was such a lovely reminder of the ✨magic✨ that lives at the start.
The excitement. The nerves. The feeling that this could actually change your life!! It’s easy to forget that feeling when you’ve been in business a while.
It got me thinking.. When’s the last time you stepped back and checked in with your foundations?
Not your systems or your strategy. But the heart of it! The why behind what you’re doing.
Who do you really want to work with now?
What kind of work lights you up?
What does freedom look like these days?
Those aren’t beginner questions.
They’re the kind of questions that help you keep building a business that fits your life and your version of success.
Because growth doesn’t always mean adding more!
Sometimes, it means going back to the start and rebuilding for the version of you who exists now.
Behind The Scenes
So… I finally got to share my pregnancy news earlier this month! The love that came in after I posted genuinely floored me. Thank you so so much 💙
As some of you know, the end of 2024 was really hard. I lost my first pregnancy, and it took time to feel steady again. That’s why this chapter feels so incredibly special!
Over the past few months, I’ve been quietly figuring out what maternity leave looks like when you’re self employed. I’ve been documenting the process and thinking about how to share what I’ve learned and how I'm setting the business up.
Maybe through a bonus podcast episode? If that’s something you’d like to hear, let me know!
And in the middle of all this, another milestone is just around the corner...Next week I’ll be celebrating a BIG business birthday! Keep an eye out for that 🥳
Anyway, if you’ve been thinking about working with me, now’s a great time to get in touch.
I’ve still got space for 1:1 calls over the summer before I hit pause until 2026!
Coming Soon..
Since I’m planning to take some proper time out, I’ve been looking at ways to package up the systems, templates and advice I usually share on calls!
So you’re hearing it here first..
I have something practical coming for anyone who wants to pitch, follow up and land better fit clients.. Without questioning yourself or spending hours drafting emails or proposals from scratch!
Keep an eye on my socials for more in the next couple of weeks. I’m excited for this one!
Thanks so much for being here and reading along!
If anything here resonated with you or if you just want to share how your May went, I’d love to hear from you.
My inbox is always open ✨
Much love,
