With Easter and the Bank Holidays, April always feels like a funny one for business. A bit stop/start, a bit all over the place…

Charging To Outsource

If you’re dreaming of hiring an Associate or expanding your team, I have a question for you.. Is your pricing allowing that to happen?

This came up in a few client conversations recently, and it’s such an important one. 

Because if your rates are too low, outsourcing might actually cost you money.

Before you bring someone on, take time to review your packages, pricing and systems. Sometimes growth starts with reworking what’s already in place behind the scenes!


Learning To Say No


Have you had that moment lately where you were tempted to say yes.. Even when everything in you was screaming no?


That’s something I was reminded of this month. I turned down a project that, in the past, I would’ve definitely said yes to! The client was great, the opportunity was flattering… But the fit wasn’t quite right, and honestly, I'm pretty happy with my capacity right now. 


If you’ve been there, you’ll know how hard that kind of “no” can feel. Especially when you're used to being helpful!


But here’s the reminder..Saying no isn’t selfish. It’s strategic.It’s about protecting your peace, your time and your future plans.

Taking Your Business On The Road


Ever thought about working from somewhere new for a few days — just for a change of scenery?


I worked from Portugal for a short stint this month and it was a great reminder of two things..

1 The flexibility we have as VA's and OSP's is incredible

2 That flexibility only works if we’re supported by good systems and boundaries


Even if travel isn’t on the cards right now, you might want to reflect on how your business holds up when you step away from your usual setup.


Could you operate from a laptop in a different country… Or even just a different part of the house?


As we head into summer, maybe it’s time to start thinking about how you could build a little more freedom into your business, even in small ways?
